The British government is ready to advance with employing the entire amount of immobilized Russian holdings to support Ukraine's military campaign, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a joint statement, the officials of the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this joint measure would escalate tension on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to engage in negotiations.

They added that the move would be carried out in strong partnership with the US.

UK sanctions have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russian resources since Moscow launched its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, previously, funds provided to Ukraine using Russian assets had solely been drawn from earnings and returns accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and Germany were aligned in their desire to push forward toward employing the total worth of the frozen Russian sovereign funds to conclude the conflict.

He stated that further sanctions over the next period would heighten the tension on the Russian government.

This statement follows European leaders met in the Danish capital previously to debate employing frozen Russia's funds for a €140bn credit to Ukraine.

Recently, US President Donald Trump encouraged G7 allies to confiscate or employ seized Russia's funds, based on news outlets.

The value of frozen Russia's assets in the European Union is assessed to be approximately €211bn.

The Russian government executed extensive missile and drone strikes across Ukraine on recently, causing electricity outages in significant regions of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and multiple additional areas.

Several persons were lost their lives and at least 20 people were injured in the assault, Ukrainian officials stated.

In a update on social media after the attack, Zelensky wrote that the strategic strike focused on public and utility structures.

"What is required is not mere statements but firm measures - from the United States, the European Union, and the G7 - in supplying anti-aircraft weapons and implementing restrictions," he emphasized.

"Each restrictive measure diminishes the Russian war effort," Zelensky declared, in a different message.

Also on Friday, Zelensky told media outlets he would press Sir Keir to participate in the PURL scheme, under which alliance members acquire weapons from the America to give to Ukraine.

While commending the Britain's strong support for Ukraine, he noted it should demonstrate clearly that it would engage in the system, as well as enforce additional sanctions on Moscow.
