Social Media Response Countless users and merchants are posting online saying Vinted listings now show a modified sizing category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification. The company said the new system was more in line with similar services. It has advised users to review their products and manually change the size when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Measurement Approach Modifications Earlier, the sizes had both one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter and a range such as S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the measurements have been reclassified - for example a size L used to be a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. User Experiences One content creator, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they're going to be very disappointed," she said. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she stated.
