FC Barcelona Ready for First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
