The Serious Charges The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021. A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.” Scope of the Police Inquiry These allegations follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital. Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.
